AFM Goodwood (Goodwood AGS) is part of the AFM family of South Africa, which was started soon after the American business man/evangelist set foot in Cape Town in 1908. In 1919 evangelist Scott Moffat was asked by the Goodwood Presbyterian church to hold midweek services in Goodwood. The result was that many people were converted and baptized.
Soon they were filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in tongues and it became evident that an independent AFM assembly was overdue. The first church building was inaugurated on 9 May 1922 in Voortrekker Road, Goodwood, which today houses Standard bank. Through the years many buildings were occupied as the assembly each time outgrew the building of the time. Today Goodwood AFM boasts a 1500 seat auditorium with office and youth church facilities on the corner of Frans Conradie and Vasco Boulevards. From here the assembly tries to achieve its vision to be a Friend of God for you.

Durbanville North Campus
During the year 2003 God spoke to the leadership of the Goodwood assembly to take the church to the people. In order to be Friend of God for every person, the church needed to venture further than it's boundaries and on 3 August 2003 the first service was held in the Durbanville Conference center.
The ministry at the North Campus is a duplication of the Main campus at Goodwood and what Biblical teachings are done in Goodwood are also done in the north Campus.
Our services in Durbanville has grown so much over the past three years that we had to find a bigger venue. On Sunday 4 February 2007 we held our first service in the Stellenberg High school hall.
